Eloping in the Swiss Alps: A Two-Day Adventure from Interlaken to Vevey

Some weddings are more than just beautiful — they become once-in-a-lifetime adventures. That’s exactly what this incredible two-day elopement turned into, as we joined a lovely couple from the Czech Republic on a journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Switzerland.

Originally planned down to the last detail, the weather had other plans. With rain suddenly approaching, we had to move the entire shoot one day earlier — a spontaneous decision that made the experience even more memorable.

We started near Interlaken, making our way up into the mountains via narrow, winding switchback roads — the kind where only one car can pass at a time. The journey itself felt like a scene from a movie, with dramatic cliffs, misty peaks, and valleys stretching out below us. Our destination? A hidden alpine lake nestled high in the mountains. It was peaceful, untouched, and absolutely magical — the perfect place for intimate portraits surrounded by nature’s raw beauty.

On our way down from the mountains, we stopped at a charming, centuries-old stone chapel tucked at the foot of the hills. The setting felt straight out of a fairytale — simple, timeless, and full of character. As the golden light of the setting sun filtered through the mountain peaks, we captured some of the most romantic moments of the entire trip. The warmth of the sun, the soft glow on the stone walls, and the quiet atmosphere came together in a way that felt truly special.
